Some Ocular Migraine Sufferers could find this helpful.
Surgically implanted multifocal intraocular lenses, (IOLs) are now available. Originally, IOLs were monofocal, or corrective of vision at one distance only, whether near, intermediate or far. Since they corrected vision at just one distance, glasses were still needed, especially if the patient suffered from age-related farsightedness. The newer, multifocal intraocular lenses correct vision at multiple ranges, and could minimize dependence on glasses, including reading glasses and bifocals.
